How we handle your personal information.
This page describes our intended approach. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a binding legal document. The final version will be published before The Pet Club accepts public sign-ups.
The Pet Club is a Canadian platform and will comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. The final policy will be drafted with legal counsel and published before public sign-ups open. What follows describes our intended practice so that it can be reviewed, not a binding legal document.
The contact enquiry composer prepares a draft in your browser and sends no form content to our server. Opening the email draft transfers it to your chosen email application; you decide whether to send it.
Optional Google Analytics is disabled unless a verified measurement identifier is configured and you choose Allow analytics in the footer. It measures public pages and product or partnership clicks. Google may receive technical browser information and use first-party cookies. We do not send email addresses, enquiry text, search queries or account URLs as event parameters. See how Google uses information from sites using its services. The choice lasts for the current page session; you can turn it off in the footer. Turning it off stops our event collection and removes accessible first-party Analytics cookies.
The Pet Club is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase for its database, authentication and file storage. The final policy will name every processor, the data each receives, and where it is stored.
You will be able to access, correct, export and delete your account and its personal information. Deleting an account removes your profile; discussions you started are retained without attribution so that replies from other members remain readable.
Privacy questions can be sent to the address on our contact page. A named privacy contact will be published alongside the final policy.
